What is the difference between a DC fan and an AC fan?
1. Working principle:
The working principle of the DC cooling fan: through DC voltage and electromagnetic induction, electrical energy is converted into machinery to drive the blades to rotate. Relying on the coil and IC to switch continuously, the induction magnetic ring drives the blades to rotate.
The working principle of AC fan: driven by AC power supply, the voltage will be positive and negative alternating, and it does not rely on circuit control to generate a magnetic field. The power frequency is fixed, and the magnetic pole change speed generated by the silicon steel sheet is determined by the power frequency. The higher the frequency, the faster the magnetic field switching speed, the faster the rotation speed will theoretically be. However, the frequency can not be too fast, too fast will cause difficulty in starting.
2. Structural composition:
The rotor of the DC cooling fan includes DC cooling fan blades, which are the source of air flow and the fan axis, which are used to support the rotation of the balanced fan blades, the rotor magnetic ring, the permanent magnet, and the key to promote the magnetic stage switching speed, the outer frame of the magnetic ring, Fixed magnetic ring. In addition, it also includes a supporting spring, through which the entire part of the nodule is fixed to rotate, the motor part, the production direction of rotation, and the ability to move the size of the rotation speed key. Its speed regulation performance is good, simple control.
The internal structure of the AC fan (single-phase) is composed of two coil windings, one is the starting winding, and the two windings are connected in series with each other, thus forming three points. The series point is the common end, and the end of the starting winding is the starting end. The end of the running winding is the running end. In addition, a starting capacitor is also required, usually with a capacity of 12uf, a withstand voltage of 250v, and two connectors, one end is connected to the end of the starting winding and the other end is connected to the end of the running winding to form a triangle type. One end of the power supply (no need to distinguish the zero line of the live wire) is connected to the end of the running winding (I .e. connected to one end of the capacitor), and the other end is connected to the common end, and the grounding wire is connected to the motor housing.
3. Material characteristics:
Material of DC cooling fan: alloy material is used, and the service life can be used continuously for more than 50000 hours. The internal structure of DC transformer and main control board (including frequency conversion circuit, rectifier filter, amplifier circuit, etc.) will not be affected by voltage fluctuation, so its service life is long.
The internal structure of the AC fan is mainly based on the transformer. Most of the AC fans use domestic discharge needles, generally tungsten needles or stainless steel materials. If the voltage is shaken too large, it will affect the service life of the transformer.
