The air volume of the cooling fan refers to the product of the plane speed of the fan ventilation area. In the case of a certain ventilation area, the greater the plane speed, the greater the air volume of the cooling fan. In order to stop the normal ventilation, the resistance of the cooling fan must be suppressed during the ventilation process. The cooling fan must generate a cooling fan pressure capable of suppressing the air supply resistance. This pressure is the air pressure of the cooling fan. In order to achieve the purpose of cooling fan air supply, static pressure and dynamic pressure are required. Total pressure is the algebraic sum of static and dynamic pressure. The total pressure refers to the total pressure increase given by the cooling fan, that is, the difference between the total pressure at the outlet and inlet of the cooling fan.

In practical applications, the nominal maximum air volume value is not the air supply volume obtained by the actual fan hot plate, and strong ventilation capacity does not mean large air volume. As the air moves, the airflow may encounter blockage in its path of motion by the fan heat detector or element, and its impedance may restrict the free flow of air. That is, as the amount of air increases, the air pressure decreases.
