There is another important parameter, such as air inlet, air outlet, air duct, etc., which has a great relationship with air pressure. The greater the air volume of the cooling fan, the faster the heat dissipation. Therefore, there are two important parameters for evaluating the heat dissipation performance: air volume and air pressure.
The commonly used cooling fans are frame and square, and there are also some special features, such as tripod, single-word frame and other bracket fans. Which kind of heat sink has greater air volume, such as framed heat sink and frameless heat sink?
First, let's take a look at the air volume of the heat dissipation fan. Simply put, it is the air flow, air flow and air volume brought by the heat dissipation fan when it is working. We call it air volume for short. The air flow data is tested by a wind tunnel machine. The test method is to blow the air volume out of the heat sink and blow it into the wind tunnel completely. There is a sensor in the wind tunnel to transmit it to the database and operate the air outlet data.
There is another problem, we need to know that the size of the wind is related to it, mainly with the shape of the fan blade, followed by the shape of the outer frame.
Then, the square heat sink and the frameless heat sink depend on the size of the air volume. First, it depends on which piece brings the larger air volume, followed by the air collection capacity and air intake capacity of the outer frame. However, the frameless heat sink cannot blow all the wind into the wind tunnel because the wind is scattered. Therefore, there is no way to compare the air volume size of the two types of fans from a single unit, unless no fan is combined with the heat sink, let the wind blow from one place and measure the combined air volume.
